You can just imagine what it means to be able to watch DSTV on the go. This is readily available wherever you go as long as you've got the Nokia 5330 phone configured for you by MTN. It is live tv on the go and it is such a thrilling experience. You would feel as if this is the peak of MTN's services such that you as yourself; "After Mobile TV, what next?".

Enjoying the experience
Watching DSTV mobile on the Nokia 5330 is exciting and there are hardly any buffers as it loads very fast using a 128k sim and MTN's mobile tv platform. Normally, getting a Nokia 5330 phone by yourself may not give you access to the service until you have got the Mobile TV service configured by MTN for you. The DSTV mobile was initially introduced on the ZTE phone which has got it's own antennae but now re-introduced on the Nokia 5330 mobile tv edition which uses a headset as it's antennae. DSTV mobile also works on the Nokia N96 and if you've got the phone by yourself, all you need to do is take it to any Nokia care shop and get it configured for DSTV mobile, I think it's for free.

The Nokia 5330 mobile phone comes with a lot of features and specifications which includes:

Changing channels on the Nokia 5330 mobile tv edition
Although you can change channels using the central navigation button, you can also do this using the cool touch buttons that are indicated by arrows below your tv screen, just cover your hands over them and it shows the next channel and then you can touch the middle arrow to go there.

Longer viewing time
Actually, a fully charged battery can allow you to watch three football games without needing to recharge and since the batteries are still new, it takes quite a shorter time to charge, like 30 minutes. Watching tv on this phone can last for as long as 6 hrs before the need to recharge phone battery. The Nokia 5330 is so great, you wouldn't want to swap it for any other phone.

It can browse the internet using gprs or 3g but it is not for free, only the dsv mobile is for free now

Not necessarily. I think the Mobile TV works with a tv antennae on our phone which gets tv signals using DVB-h technology

The phone already has mobile tv configuration and all you need to do is to insert an MTN sim card that has around 128k memory. Then go to Mobile tv subscriptions and retrieve. You would only need to set up MTN gprs on your phone manually if you have not done so and then have at least N100 on your phone in order to retrieve the channels succesfully

A friend of mine came to me wt his Nokia 5330 because the MTN DSTV dosen't show anymore after he gave it to a friend who told him he would like copy out d settings to use on same other phone but failed in the process. The phone stopped showing d TV but writes that he should subscribe. PLEASE, WHAT DO I DO TO HELP HIM RESTORE IT QUICKLY?

I don't know if it is a general problem with MTN but the dstv mobile and even mobile internet service has not been working. I don't know if MTN has stopped the free dstv mobile. I have not been able to watch any tv since december 2010 so it is disappointing.

I was very happy when i bought the Nokia 5330 because it was showing but suddenly stoped showing.it is only free channel that is showing and after seven days it wil stop.

You would need to pay for it to keep watching all the channels. Click on the channel you want to watch and click on subscribe. You should have at least N170 to subscribe for a plan.

I have a nokia 5330 phone. D dstv mobile is working very well before with dis my line but now anytime i scan for channels it wont open and it wil be telling me no channel found. Up till now i cannt scan for channels. Am i to replace my sim card or what can i do.
