One of the things I've purchased online in Nigeria without a buyer's remorse is a pair of Levi's jeans. Actually, I bought several pairs, just to minimize the shipping cost per unit.

Levi's jeans are made by Levi Strauss & Co., a Clothing company in the USA which produces denim jeans and other clothing wears. The jeans material is made of hard and sturdy cotton that can withstand a lot of wear and tear and really lasts long than ordinary trousers.

There are now many online shopping websites Nigerians can have access to since they also can now make payments online through their bank issued debit or credit cards. You can buy clothes, shoes, books and so on from those shopping websites and they'll deliver to you with some even offering to accept your payment on delivery.

However, I did buy my Levi's jean from Amazon USA by making use of a US shipping agent and my package was forwarded to me through DHL within 5 working days after Amazon had delivered.

Actually, when shopping on Amazon from Nigeria, they don't block your IP address or deny your card payment when using a Visa or Mastercard but the major thing is that as at 2015, they still don't offer direct shipping to Nigeria for those buying designer jeans like those made by Levi as they mostly restrict their shipping to addresses in the USA.

You can buy Levi's jeans online from Nigeria by making use of a US shipping agent who will also provide you with a US address when doing your shopping on Amazon. You just need to make payment for the jeans you want in Naira, let it be delivered to that US address and it will be forwarded to you in Nigeria.

The cost of the pair of Levi 505 jeans I bought was about $40 but the other costs for getting it in Nigeria would include the international DHL/Fedex/UPS shipping costs and the custom duties.

Actually, it can be a bit expensive buying jeans from Amazon and having it delivered to you by a courier service since it would be sent by air which is a bit more expensive than through the sea. It's only advisable to buy jeans from Amazon as a Nigerian resident if you don't see the design or size you are looking for at local boutiques in Nigeria.

I did checkout some local boutiques and online shopping websites in Nigeria before placing my order on Amazon after I wasn't able to find my right size in length and weight. I didn't want to buy a Levi jeans that I have to cut down to size after buying it sine I wanted a ready to wear pair. Amazon has a larger number of Levi's jeans in different sizes and shapes and I love the Levi 505 designs best.

Before buying jeans online, one thing you should note is that it's not like a regular store where you can wear it before buying it. You should know your size and type and if you are not sure, you can just buy a sample of 2 or 3 just to compare. If those ones don't fit you, you can always sell it to your friends. If you do own an existing pair of Levi's jeans that fits you well, then it's good to use the details on that one when buying online so that you don't start wishing you never bought it.

The cost of shipping a pair of Levi's jeans depends on the shipping weight mostly and the one I bought weighed up to 3 lbs while my US shipping agent allows me to estimate the shipping cost using their online calculator. From my experience, Shipping a pair of jeans weighing about 3 lbs from US to Nigeria via DHL costs about $70 but if you were to to ship more pairs or units, then the shipping costs gets cheaper per unit. So, one tip for those who intend buying jeans on Amazon from Nigeria and want to save money on shipping is to buy it bulk rather than single units.
