Have you purchased or do you want to buy something from China through Aliexpress? Well, there are a lot of things you can buy from them such as clothes, shoes, tech gadgets, mobile phones, solar panels and so on and they can deliver those things to you in Nigeria through a variety of ways.
Aliexpress is a great online shopping destination where Nigerians can buy things form and pay with their bank issued Visa or Naira Mastercard. If your card is not working on Aliexpress or was rejected, it's probably because you don't have enough money on it or your bank just blocked it. You may need to have it activated at your bank first for online use on shopping websites like Aliexpress or Amazon.
I've bought quite a lot of things from Aliexpress and most of them have been delivered to me but for the few that weren't, I notified them in time so that they cancelled the order and refunded my money to me within the buyer protection period. Yes, you should make complaints during your buyer protection period if you haven't received your goods or if the tracking number is not working so that Aliexpress would solve the case.
How does Aliexpress deliver to buyers in Nigeria? Well, they can do this through a variety of means such as by postal mail or fast parcel delivery services like DHL, FedEx, UPS or EMS. The faster parcel delivery service providers tend to charge more for international shipping fee but they save you time and you can easily track them when the item has been sent. If you'd rather want to save money and not bothered about the longer time frame it may take(about 30 days), then you should opt for the postal mail delivery channel which will eventually get to NIPOST.
I've received a lot of my Aliexpres packages through NIPOST singe they were single items. Perhaps, when I ship items in larger numbers and I want them faster, I may go through DHL or FedEx. Currently, NIPOST charges an extra fee of N500 as handling charges when receiving packages from abroad such as from China or the USA and they also don't deliver it to your home but they'd send a note to you with the tracking number printed on it when your package has arrived and you can even track it online on
NIPOST's tracking website under International items Track.
When buying things on Aliexpress, the seller may provide several shipping options apart from postal mail and you can choose the one you want and be prepared to pay for it. After your order has been placed, your card will be charged and you would have to wait for the seller to send the goods out within a few days. Give the seller about a week and then try to check the tracking number provided to see if it has really been sent. You will be able to use to code on websites that allows you to track it and the seller would also provide a link for that. If however, the link it not working after about 2 weeks, you may first send a message to the seller that it has not been shipped or is not trackable. If after a prolonged period of time(About 1 month), you have still not been able to track it online, then you can raise a dispute within your buyer's protection period so that Aliexpress can intervene and help refund your payment. In most cases however, the seller would be honest and ship the item in time so as to avoid any disputes.
Aliexpress is one of the best places to buy things online and where better to shop for goods made in China than from them. They sell electronics, clothes, shoes, mobile phones, computers, baby items and lots more and they all come at good prices too.
Since a majority of items that we now have in the Nigerian market are made in China, it only makes sense to buy it directly from them through Aliexpress since it would save you more money.
