Of all days of the year one can do online shopping in Nigeria, I think black Friday sales are normally the best especially if you are shopping with Jumia Nigeria.

Jumia has a special day that marks the beginning of pre-Christmas shopping and during that period, the prices of stuff sold on their platform drops drastically to the benefits of buyers. I had a satisfactory experience shopping with them that saved me about N10,000 in 2014 and I'm hoping that in 2015, I may even find better deals to take advantage of.

I had always wanted to buy a new HD TV and the one I liked was a 32 Inch Samsung UA32EH4003 LED TV that was normally sold for about N47,000. However during Jumia's Black Friday shopping period, the priced went as low as N37,000 and I decided to add it to my shopping cart.

I didn't just want to buy any TV brand but I trusted Samsung and as I write this, the TV is still at my home and has been fully working without any problems.

After my shopping, I checked out and made payment for the item and also chose to pick it up myself at a local Jumia outlet close to me and at my own convenient time. I would have chosen to have them deliver it to me at home but given the fact that I was mostly busy and may not be available to receive the order, I chose to pick it up myself and made payment at their outlet with my ATM debit card.

It was a wonderful experience and what I love about the Samsung TV is that it allows me to watch stored videos from my flash drive and the sound it awesome. Looking back at the price I purchased and the price at which it's now sold at online stores, it's like I've saved up to N20,000 buying it then since It's now sold at over N55,000 thanks to the falling price of the Naira to the Dollar. I guess I used my money wisely then.

Of all times of the year during which people benefit mot from shopping in Nigeria, I have to say that it's during Christmas that you'd get the most benefits for your money because they are a lot of offers that would be on the table and it only makes then sense to convert your Naira into useful assets during that time rather than keeping it at the bank till the next year.

Yes, It's harder buying things in January or February in Nigeria rather than November due to discounted prices and the stronger value of the Naira you'd get in November and Black Friday shopping is a day that shoppers should not be slow in taking advantage of.

There are probably many things you'd need in the short term and it's not wise to wait after Christmas before buying them since prices are more likely to rise by them. Pre-Christmas shopping on Jumia comes with a lot of cool discounts. You'd find clothes, shoes, books, electronics, tech gadgets, fashion items and beauty products all listed at ridiculously low prices during black Friday.

Shopping on Black Friday is the best time to shop in Nigeria and I've had a good experience doing so at Jumia.
