Starting up a Nigerian Blog can be relatively easy as it involves basically the capital which can be as low as N10,000.
The capital would be used for paying for domain names, web hosting and setting up the blogging platform with Wordpress, Blogger or other custom scripts.
The main challenge with Blogging does not come with the start up or selecting a niche or industry but it is in the conceptualization of a new topic - your blog post.
When you visit your blog account in the morning, you ask yourself,"What should I write about for today?". At times it is quite easier to follow other blogs and just write about what they wrote but that would not make you a leader.
How do you develop or generate topics from just one niche? How do you know on which topics to reblog about in case the first one was hot?
Well, the best thing to do is to generate a list of topics before actually going to your blog. You already know what your blog is all about and the kind of topics that will suit it. What you now need to do is:

- Get a pen and piece of paper and write down topics from your head
- You may write as much as 100 topics each for a particular category
- Monitor the search engines and current trends in the industry
- Choose topics that are unique so that you will be ranked high
- By the time you have about 1000 topics related to your blog then begin blogging about each topic on your Blog

It would be much easier then to just wake up everyday, knowing which topic you have for the day and just write about it from your personal background. You may also make references from search engine results and other blogs when you want to cite information you used. Try writing a detailed blog post so that you will get more traffic to your Blog.
