These little bits of code could make you money. Yes and I mean real money.

Google Adsense is what is helping a lot of bloggers and website owners make money off their site content and all they have to do is paste the code.

What is Google Adsense?
Google Adsense is a programme for website publishers by Google that allows people to monetize their online presence through a form of third party advertising programme that Google also offers. The money really comes from Google's advertisers and share by Google and her network partners who are called Adsense publishers.

The Google Adsense code is something like what is shown above. It consists of two parts of Javascript code, one of which must point to a remote Google url for tracking purposes while the other can be located within the Adsense publisher's domain.

The Javascript code
The first part of the code consists of the format of the ad which can be a large square, rectangle, small or big banner, text or video and there are a lot of formats.
The second part of the Google adsense code is the remote google javascript file that keeps records and makes the ads to show on websites. This is located at http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js.
The ads will only show and earn the publishers money if javascript is enabled and is working the visitor's browser else will not show anything.

Using the Adsense Code
You can start using the adsense code once you generate it from inside you Google adsense account and all you need to do this is log into your account if already registered at google.com/adsense and click on Adsense set up. Follow the process through and copy the generated code.

If using Wordpress or a dynamically generated web site, you can easily insert it into your page's template and it starts showing almost immediately.

If using static html pages, you would have to insert it one by one and a quick way to do this is by using Dreamweaver and doing the following: (Your files should first be in your local folder )
- Select a html tag close to where you want to insert it
- Use Find and replace to highlight it
- Insert that same html tag and then your Google adsense code
- Select folder which contains all the files you want to monetize with adsense
- Then click on replace all
It will add adsense codes to more than a thousand pages if your html files are up to that number. You can then publish afterward.

Google Adsense allows ads which are closely related to your website content to be displayed, making more meaning for your web visitors as well as increasing your potential to make money from it.
