Building a Question and answer based website can be a great and easy way to generate traffic and free content for yourself if you are a webmaster or web publisher. Web content can add value to your domain and be a potential source of online revenue. I had been thinking along that line too and seeing that there are not really any Q and A based Nigerian website yet in spite of the fact that there are probably more than a billion questions Nigerians would be willing to ask. Think of sites like Yahoo answers, Google answers and Google Baraza, wiki answers, answerbag and others getting millions of hits everyday from just creating communities like this. It could very well be a much better way to generate content and hence generate more revenue from Google Adsense and other advertising networks. I have been thinking along this line too and when one reminds himself that there are just only two categories of Nigeria(Online Newspapers and forums) websites which are still moving the most traffic, perhaps it's time to start up a Q and A website.
I did a little research and found out that it will be much easier and quicker to set up a Question based website by just buying the software. There are various premium web scripts available for this purpose and they are:
- Shapado (Free)
- Qhub ($40/month for Pro)
- QandaForums ($99/month for Business)
- Lumen answers
Most of them require that you make a monthly subscript payable with Paypal and I think there are still others which I have not mentioned here. If you know of any web software for building a Q and A website, you can add it too in your comments

Just launched my website which is a q and A website focused on Nigeria content.
It is relatively simple and you can find it at www.ajuju.net. I hope it becomes rewarding in the near future. I did it just because there are no really any Nigerian websites that focuses on just questions and answers. My focus is to extend the platform to student portals where they could ask questions on WAEC, utme, jamb and even NECO.
