Should I even be writing about this? Should I be letting out the secret that could help a lot of people make more money online? If people and particularly Nigerian web content owners knew what Nigerians were searching for on the internet, they would be more powerful, internet wise. They say knowledge is power and really no knowledge is wasted.
The web industry in Nigeria is a growing one and there still is a very much virgin market waiting to be tapped. There are a lot of niches in Naija's cyberspace which are just waiting to be discovered. While some have already made themselves more powerful by knowing, others are still struggling to know what it is. There are some who already have a fair knowledge but do not put it into efficient use. Anyway, however you put it, knowing what Nigerians are searching for can be very beneficial.
Everyday, people here go online and search for millions or even billion of words on search engines. You would laugh out loud if you could get what some of these folks were searching for.
Now what are Nigerians searching for? Well one good way to find out is to ask the search engines. Search engines are spiders which crawl the world wide web, finding and indexing web addresses and at the same time responding to a lot of queries coming from around the globe, including Nigeria. The more web pages in a search engines's database, the more powerful it is and the more results it gets.
Search engines also keep a history of queries users have made on their servers and may decide to publish them online for users and most especially for the benefit of webmasters and merchants. Knowing what people are searching for could help webmasters present better websites or merchants to know how to market their products.
This would be a series of blog posts and I would reveal a keyword for each post I make after this one.

Just make use of search engine reports to get info on their top queries. You can use Google insights, Yahoo Buzz and Bing too
