This is a nice question. Is it really profitable as some people have been made to think? What is adsense for domains for a start?

About Adsense for Domains
Google adsense for domains is a domain parking programme offered within the Google adsense programme that allows domain owners make some income by parking their domains with Google
You know Google adsense is that which places ads on the website of online publishers allowing them to make money from third party adverts on a ppc or impression based basis. When Google adsense started, it was mostly focused on websites with content but as time went by, Google and big time domainers found out that they could equally make money from domains that have no content by placing ads on them.

Domaining as profitable busines
Initially the focus of online advertising was based on helpful content on web pages while adverts were taking the sidelines but with adsense for domains, ads have started becoming the main focus and all a web visitor needs to do to see them is by typing in a domain name.
People are used to going to domains by typing urls of domains according to keywords or phrases they were searching for. Unfortunately for most typed in traffic, visitors were getting blank pages for domains that were not existing even though it had a keyword name. For instance, someone interested in curing pimples might just go to the url pimples.com or treatpimples.com. Now instead of getting a blank or non existent page, domain owners are encouraged by Big G to purchase and park such type of domains with them and earn a profit.

How profitable is Adsense for Domains?
The main issue now is how profitable is really if at all it is? Well one would have to look at a lot of things in order to see if domaining was worth it:

- How much do you buy a domain name?
- Do you already have a Google adsense account?
- How much you make in a year from it
- How unique your domain name really is
- The frequency of type-in traffic going to your domain

If you are making $1 or $0.10 a day from a parked domain, you have to agree that it is a profitable business because in a year that would give you about $300 or $30. This is quite profitable since a domain name costs about $10 in a year.
You should also look at the future prospects of your domain name and see if traffic is growing or falling. If you don't already have an adsense account, then it may take a while to get approved and setup adsense for domains.

From experience, I have tried adsense for domains and it can be quite profitable but you would need to get more domain names in order to make substantial money from it. Having just 2 or three domains may make like $50 a year for you if you are serious. Most major adsense for domainers make serious money by having as much as 100 or even 1000 domains in their portfolio. If you are also seriously going into this type of online business, it would do you good to buy domains in bulk and from registrars that offer discount for clients.
So it it profitable but you have to make sure that you don't go against Google adsense terms of service or policies.

Nice Article, it was very useful for me that i'm a new user for Adsense, I just think that if you are really thinking about going into this kind of thing "PARKING DOMAINS" just keep in your mind to NEVER EVER go against the Google adsense terms of service or policies. Because then your account will be gone and it will be very hard to get it back.

Adsense is not the question, the thing is to promote your site in Google to get visitors...
