Having a Wordpress blog is a great way to add content to your website and if you have installed it on a particular folder like /blog on your site, it makes it easier to manage assuming you want to uninstall it soon. There are two ways I know you can use to uninstall or remove a Wordpress installation:
- Automatically or Manually.
Under Automatically, you can install it by using the same hosting software that you used to install it such as fantastico or Simple scripts. All that requires is that you bring up the application and click on uninstall.
If you would want to remove a Wordpress installation manually, it is also not too hard to do. Here's how you could do it:
- Go to the installation folder using file manager and delete the folder
- Go to your databases and delete the wordpress databases. It could be called something like Wd1 or Wd2. Just click on delete database
Now you are through with removing a wordpress installation manually

This was enlightening. I had been having this simple scripts update bugging me for days just because I did a wordpress installation but after removing it manually, it stopped bugging me. Nice tips
