As a blogger, one thing that can motivate you to keep blogging are your fans. Every blog that has constantly updated content will eventually have an influence of people over a period of time and this could become more personal as you blog grows. Getting people to read your blog is easy but how do you get people to keep returning to your blog?
How do you encourage loyalty to your blog?
Well one way to do this is by getting your readers practically hooked! Get them to subscribe.
One way I have seen modern bloggers get and retain blog readership is by means of using Feedburner.

What Feedburner is
Feedburner is a free feed management service currently owned by Google that allows online publishers to send emails to subscribers whenever new content has been published.
What Feedburner does is that it captures the email addresses of your blog visitors, allows them to opt for subscription and then sending them an email each time you make an update. Feedburner also allows you to publish then umber of your feed readers using feedcount and also with an email box for users to enter their email addresses. Now imagine what you could do with thousands of email addresses.

To get started with Feedburner, her is what you will need
- Your site should have feeds
- Sign up with feedburner by going to feedburner.com
- Burn your feed address with Feedburner and integrate it to your site

Now imagine if you had over 1000 readers for your blog and make a new blog post on new arrivals of a product or service, at least 30% may visit your site that very day. I have seen blogs with over 100,000 feed readers and for a site to have this, it means that it is generating useful content for its readers.
