Glo N1000 monthly Internet browsing (Always Micro)

It is called Always Micro and it s probably the cheapest internet package from Glo that allows subscribers of her data plan to browse the internet for a whole month at a cost of N1000 only. Actually it will be for a whole month or whenever you use up your 150mb guota.
Glo ALways Micro allows you to still enjoy that blazing 3.5g internet speeds when you want it and how you want it.

Glo 3G plus and Always Micro
When I wrote about Glo 3g plus internet service, I did not include this recent package because it was not available yet. Then users who wanted to browse without spending too much in a cybercafe could go on the 24 hrs plan that was N500 but now it seems Glo has crashed a lot of these prices and with Always Micro, you can get more for less payment. Glo always Micro works on the same speed as those other packages and it is so fast and reliable.

Comparing Always day to Always Micro
Now always day costs the user about N500 for 24 hrs only and for a quota of only 500 MB and if you do this for two days you would have spent N1000 but with Always Micro the validity days are extended for 30 days but with a lower quota of 150MB.
I think if it is just facebook or Yahoo mail that you are checking Always Micro would be good enough for you since you won't be making much downloads but if you're an avid internet user like me that frequently visits Youtube, your Always Micro can finish in a day and that's probably why I still prefer to stick to my plan.

How to make the best of Glo N1000 monthly internet plan
Like you know, this is a limited plan with only 150 MB which could be a lot for the average internet user in Nigeria but insufficient for heavy internet users but it's cost makes it good enough to be used to access relevant and quick information from the web for resources such as jobs, academics or social networking.
In order to make it work best for you, here are some tips:

- Don't watch videos on Youtube or Vimeo
- Don't download movies from the internet
- Use a light browser like Google Chrome or Opera for browsing
- Always disconnect whenever you are not using it
- Don't give everyone access to your modem
- Use it with a Glo USB modem and not your phone
- You can browse faster at night or early mornings than in the day
- The higher you go, the faster your connection so seek higher grounds if possible
- If possible load your credit with networks like Etranzact, do so as they give discounts

oOOPS! I almost forgot.
So how does one subscribe to Glo Always Micro Internet Plan for N1000 a month?
Well just send "13" to 127 without the quotes

You can do this with your modem plugged in and with sufficient credit(at least N1000) by going to the text message center and send the message "13" to 127 without the quotes

You should receive a confirmation sms that it has been activated. Now you can connect and start browsing

You can inquire for other details from 127 such as your balance and validity period by sending "info" to the same 127

After activating, i got a text saying that i am now on Always Micro Plan but it didn't work, so i decided to call customer care and was told that the Always micro plan is not yet active on Glo's system. After chopping my N1,000.
