Yes You Can! Even if you don't have a website or advanced computer knowledge.
A lot of people may not already know this: You can make money from the internet just by writing articles. Even if writing or typing is the only thing you know how to do, you can use it to make a full time income from the internet.
Although I have written about this briefly on several of my blog posts such as
here,
here and
here, I just thought I should write out a new topic entirely focused on Article writing in Nigeria.
What is Article writing?Article Writing involves using words to give informative of opinionated view about a topic. It involves selecting a topic or subject of interest and use your intuition to create a story around it. The focus of article writing it to give people useful information about the subject either with facts or personal experience.
When someone chooses to write an article, he first of all summarizes mentally all he knows about it, puts them on record and then publishes it.
Features of a good articleAn article that is meant to be published on a platform such as a newspaper or internet should have the following features:
- Be Informative
- Lengthy - For instance with 200 - 500 words
- Have a Personal view
- Not too long
- Use Good Grammar
- Rich in Keywords
How to get startedWell one thing you need to do is sign up with an article publishing platform like
Hubpages, Articlebase, ehow or Helium. I recommend
Hubpages however as they offer an easy to use platform that will also make your works be readily visible on the internet.
Sign up With Hubpages Today! How do you get paid? You get paid directly by the advertisers who you sign up with as they would send you a periodic cheque you can cash into your bank account in Nigeria
How it really works- You sign up with an article publishing website like Hubpages
- You use the tools to write as many articles as possible
- You sign up with online advertisers like Google adsense, Amazon, Bidvertiser, Adbrite and others
- You attach their code to you hubpages account
- You get credited when people visit your articles
- You receive a monthly or periodic cheque
- You keep writing more articles to make more money online
This works very well in Nigeria and a lot of other people are already using it to make money without having a website as all it requires is your ability to write. You don't need to set up a blog or website or pay for domain name or hosting. You don't need to programme anything but rather just write articles and get paid right here in Naija.

Is there any website where I can get paid for writing a specific article? I mean contract websites and not relying on online advertising.

Yes, there are several websites where you can do that but the bottom line remains in having your work published first. If you are on Hubpages for instance and you have several high ranking articles published, people would want to pay you to write for them but Hubpages actually would have provided for you a platform to showcase your work. Examples of websites where you can get paid directly for writing articles are sites like Guru.com, elance.com and so on. Just Google for freelance article writing.

i've heard of writing online for money but doesnt the money incentive spoil the quality of writing.since the writer is writing not to his passion but to account for a certain amount of keyword volume while drooling about the expected income?
the effects of this: like in the market when sellers sell the items that "moves market" problem is people looking for quality items cant have the need met cuz the market is flooded with often cheap but over priced goods.

@Kambo, Being paid to do a job you already love doing certainly isn't a bad thing, is it?
