How to unlock your 3G Huawei modem to work for all networks

Unlocking your usb modem will free it to work for just about any other network and this can helpful unlike if it was just locked to a single network like the ISP that provided you with the device at the first instant.

Do you use a 3g USB modem to browse the web? Perhaps you subscribed to a fast internet service from your service provider and were give a USB stick that you just plu and play in order to browse the internet? The USB device that works as a modem mostl ikely has a sim card embedded within it that makes it capable of acting as a modem. They may have been times when you got bored of using that network and wanted to try a new sim to see how reliable another ISP would be. Well if you have tried this and received the error,
Enter unlock code, 10 attempts remaining
Then it simply means that your modem provider has locked that usb modem to their network and you just can't use it with another sim. The only way you can probably still use another sim card on a locked USB modem is by entering the correct unlock code.
Most of the USB modem I have seen are made by Huawei but there are other brands. The main solution however to using another sim card on a locked modem is to unlock it with a key.
There are many free softwares and websites that allow you to unlock your 3g USB modem and all you have to do is Google for your modem type and then unlocker e.g. Huawei usb unlocker

I was able to unlock 2 of my devices and you can do it too for yourself too following these steps:

- Download the 3g usb modem unlocker for your device or go to the unlocking website
- Enter your IMEI number and click on generate or unlock
- You will get some the unlocking key in form of numbers
- Remove the original sim card from your device and insert a new one
- Enter the unlocking key to unlock it when it asks you to

Now your modem is unlocked and you can use dial up options or create internet profiles for your modem according to your isp's settings

Tip: Don't keep entering the wrong codes into your modem else it will become permanently locked to that ISP.

if i unlock an mtn modem
can i use a glo sim on it?
i unlocked my modems last year but even with that the modem still discriminated on sim cards.
put me through.
i use the softwares listed above and a googled tutorial.
