Article writing: Choosing a topic

One of the first things to do when starting out to write an article is selecting the topic.
Questions like these would arise: What would be the title of this article? What keywords to target? How much can I write about the topic?

Article writing a great and easy way to make money online as all it mostly requires of you is to write so how do you go about selecting a topic to write about?
Well, here is what I suggest:
- Identify the theme of your blog: What is your blog all about? It is a tech or celebrity blog?
- Have a list of possible keywords or important words that are more closely related to your theme
- Try to then list topics based on those keywords in such a way that your readers would prefer
- You may also use your site's traffic stats to see what important phrases or words that is bringing in users to your website and try to create topics that best provides them answers
- Keep a list of those other topics and then select the one you want to write about

Let me give an example:
Suppose I am running an Entertainment blog or article site focused on the Nigerian audience and it's mostly focused on movie industry:

Identifying Keywords:
I can begin to list out important words or phrases related to my theme for instance:
latest movies, scandalous movies, movie on demand, nolloywood dvd store, nollywood cinemas, nollywood premiere, Genevieve Nnaji last movie or Ini Edo scandal.

Listing my topics:
Based on these keywords, I may then decide to choose one that can best help me form a new topic for an article to write about and I may then create a list of topics like:
- Best of Nollywood for 2011
- Did she do it? Ini Edo scandal
- Nigerian movies being premiered as Silverbird Cinemas
- Chronicles of Genny Nnaji

Choosing a suitable topic:
I would then choose a topic that best suits the moment and which I can probably write about with available resources such as the internet, personal research or news events.

Next steps:
After identifying the best topic for your article, the next thing you should do is to really decide on other things such as doing more research, including pictures, how long the post would be and the best time to start writing.
