Do Affiliate marketers really make money online in Nigeria? Well, yes they do assuming they follow the same rules affiliate marketers follow everywhere else and the rule is quite simple which is:
- Refer buyers and earn a commission on sales
How does affiliate marketing really work?Well it works by simply identifying an online merchant that offers affiliate programs and then making referrals using your online presence such as website, blog, forum or articles.
Most merchants who offer affiliate programs set a commission based on a percentage of sales and this could be up to 10%. So this simply means that if you help sell an item worth $100, you earn $10 and if you refer a sale worth $1, you get credited with $0.1 - It is that simple
Tips for doing affiliate marketing in Nigeria- Sign up with merchants that use payment systems that work with Nigeria. So, just exclude paypal. A good example is Amazon.com, Netfirms, Bluehost and others
- Use only reliable and not fraudulent merchants
- Try to dominate your niche
- Try to auto-embed your affiliate code or banners on your site template
- You can receive payments with debit cards or international cheque
