MTN Nigeria is a leading GSM company in Nigeria and apart from their core voice services which all telecom providers provide, they also offer mobile and full internet browsing to subscribers. In order to be able to browse the web with MTN, you need to subscribe first to their data services.

MTN Nigeria has on several occasions offered free browsing to customers for instance, during the:
- Beta free browsing period: Before they started charging for browsing or data services, they offered subscribers free browsing and unlimited data for quite a long time. I guess it lasted for about 1 to 2 years before they actually started billing for it.

Currently, they also do offer free browsing promos from time to time if you subscribe to a plan or package that is attached to it.

So, in order to benefit from MTN Nigeria's free browsing promos, the best way to do so is stay informed about their data services via their website, tv, radio or other media and subscribe to a plan that offers it.

If you want legal free browsing with MTN Nigeria, here is what you do:

- Migrate to Funlink reloaded by dialing *406#
- Ensure you have at least N100 in your phone
- Browse during happy hour - 12.30 am to 4.30 am. Limited to 4mb

Now that is official from MTN. You can checkout the other benefits of funlink reloaded
