At Stamford Bridge, the Blues stood their ground in winning FC Barcelona by a lone goal at home in their Champions league semi final game and when they played the second leg at Nou Camp, in Barca's home, it seemed the odds were piling up against Chelsea but in the end, they scored 2 away goals and will be moving to the final for the winning cup. Game ended 2 - 2 and Chelsea who already had a home goal in their favour with the away draw will now head to the finals against the winner between Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich.

How did Barcelona allow Chelsea to defeat them and in their home too?
Critics of Chelsea and even most of them being English guys doubted that the Blues would ever be able to defeat the winning champions. The funny thing was that while Barcelona did most of the playing, Chelsea did most of the winning. Now while I would say team Chelsea did well, I also have to say that their coach is also doing well in setting up the team's defense so tight. It was almost impenetrable and Barca fans were all screaming and hoping for a goal soon. FC Barc guys finally scored their first goal at Nou Camp

Odds against Chelsea
- John terry got a red card in first half
- They gave out a penalty
- They possessed little ball control
- Drogba played mostly defensive

Odds against FC Barcelona
- Messi was polarized, couldn't score
- They got a draw from a visiting team
- Unable to really break Chelsea's defense
- Lost scoring with a penalty
- Already down 1 - 0 from Stamford Bridge

How did Chelsea really win Barcelona?
I guess it is because they studied their game first of all and were able to know how to neutralize it. It seemed Barca had not changed their routine style of playing and so Chelsea countered most of their attacks.

Chelsea also played quite differently this time as they played mostly a defensive game rather than the usal mid field attacking Chelsea they normally are. Barca was all out to crush Chelsea and they spent most of their energies in the first half only to slow down in the second. Torres who played for only about 10 mins as against Drogba's 80 minute play was able to prove a much effective striker. So GBP50m was not a waste.
You can hardly catch Torres when he moves ahead and he hardly misses a goal
Ramires paid his dues despite getting a second yellow card by scoring a one-touch goal
