It's made by Nokia and it is already flooding the Nigerian market.
Enter Nokia 103, one of the cheapest GSM phones in Nigeria.
Why do I call it cheap? It is because it sells for between N2500 to N3000 in the open market.
It's a new phone in the Nigerian market and they would hardly be any second hand ones by now. I got to know about the phone after my mum lost her phone and she decided that now she wants a cheap phone rather than buying expensive complex phones that she is most likely to lose again. It can be painful losing an expensive Nokia phone which you bought brand new and so she decided that Nokia 103 was the best for her now.
How old is my Nokia 103 To determine the age of your Nokia 103 phone, you can do so by simply dialing the code *#0000#.
I found out that my mom's own was made precisely on the 23-04-12 which is this year in April
Nokia 103 and 3310I happened to use the Nokia 3310 back then and it seems that this 103 has almost the same features as the 3310 except in their physical attributes of which the 3310 was bigger. The Nokia 103 is lighter, mostly of plastic and smaller. It is also less bulky and can easily fit in your pocket. Even if you drop the phone from your hand, it won't
MenuThe Nokia 103 has about 9 buttons on it's menu and this includes the following:

FM RadioIt allows you to use a attach a microphone to activate your radio and scan for channels. Signals are pretty sharp and it can be a form of entertainment for you.
FlashlightThis come handy in situation where there is a blackout or no light but you still have your phone. Just go to Menu > Extras and Switch on your Flashlight. It is bright enough to see with.
BatteryThe battery seems to last much longer if you use it only for voice calls. It may require recharging if you use it extensively for radio. or playing games. It uses a BL-5VB 3.7V battery made by Nokia
Good quality, great priceI've not seen any mobile phone as cheap as the Nokia 103 and still offers a good service. You can hear voice calls with good clarity, listen to radio, store a lot of contacts and the basic voice call.
Things It cannot do or doesn't haveInternet browsing
Bluetooth connectivity or infrared
Memory card slot
Colour display
If all you really want is a mobile phone that can do voice calls, send and receive sms as well as listen to radio, then the Nokia 103 is the best I've seen so far. It may not be a high end phone but its got the basics for a GSM mobile phone and with a brand name behind it too.
