If you have always dreamed of getting a laptop for yourself but have been put off by the price, perhaps it's time you start thinking of getting cheaper laptops which are readily becoming available in the market.

Can someone really get a laptop in Nigeria for as low as $100 or less? That is about NGN16,000. Certainly you can. It could be a brand new or used laptop because at the rate at which technology is going, cheaper laptops are becoming more available.

What if you just specifically wanted a brand new cheap laptop for as low as $100, no hidden charges? Well laptops like that are already available thanks to the Chinese invasion of Nigeria's tech market.

There are a growing range of mini laptops being offered for sale at Chinese websites like Aliexpress.com and this is a website that is targeted to buyers across the world including Nigeria who want to shop online for cheap even though they may offer some low quality products.

The mini laptop from China is offered for as low as $70 and this includes shipping to Nigeria which they offer for free. When you make a visit to Aliexpress.com from a Nigerian computer, by default it reads your ip and provides the cost of getting products to Nigeria using their mailing service.

To search for such mini laptop, just go to the website and enter the keywords "mini laptop" and you will get a tonne of results offering very cheap products. One thing that still bothers my mind is how they actually offer free shipping or low prices for such prodcuts. Perhaps the products are already in Nigeria or rather shipping costs have already being integrated into the price.

Anyway, you can get laptops to Nigeria for under $100 from Aliexpress.com and it would be sent to you within a few weeks.

You should also be able to actually get cheap laptops in Nigeria by focusing on buying used laptops or mini laptops from the open market and a good location for getting them is the computer village.

Is a $100 laptop really efficient? I don't really thing so because it would not offer the same service which a $400 laptop offers and may also not be as durable or of high standards. However, when it comes to getting such cheap laptops in Nigeria, they sure can come at that low price.
