How to setup Glo bolt internet service

I just got and installed a Glo bolt modem on my system and I just thought I should share with you guys on how I did that.

Glo bolt is the recent 3G plus internet package offered by Nigeria's Glo - one of the fastest internet service providers.

It comes with a new Glo Bolt branded 3G USB modem made by Huawei technologies and it's a plug and play device that does immediate installation as soon as you plug it in. So no cds or extra installation files, all you need to do is just plug it in and install.

I was a bit worried whether this new modem would work on Windows 7 Home premium since the last Glo 3g Plus modem didn't directly work and I had to do a manual dial up configuration. Luckily it worked as I was able to connect to the network using the installed Glo bolt program from my desktop.

Things you need to do first
=============================
Ensure that you have activated your GLO sim card by first inserting it into a mobile phone, loading about N100 airtime and then calling the number 125.

How to install Glo bolt internet
==============================
- Insert the sim into the slot available on your USB modem
- Plug the GLo bolt modem into your USB port
- Accept any installation prompts on your computer
- After installation, start up the GLo bolt modem

+ It requires about 90MB of space.

You should be able to browse almost immediately.

The dial up settings for Glo HSI are as follows:

username: flat
password: flat

About 500 MB worth of free data up to a month.
