Jumia is like the Amazon for Nigeria and if you are a frequent shopper, you only need to taste how online shopping with Jumia works for once and you're hooked.
Nigerians are not that fascinated with the idea of shopping online due to the fear of online fraud. They mostly prefer paying for items they see physically and that's why I think Jumia's shopping model would be a success as you are allowed to to make payments even after you've received your goods. They also offer other payment options.
How to shop at Jumia.com.ng
==========================
- Select the product you want
- Click on buy now
- Proceed to checkout
- Login to your account or register for one
- Choose payment option
- Make your order
- Expect delivery
Free delivery
===============
Jumnia also offers free delivery for orders above a minimum value. About N30,000 for now.
Pay on delivery option
=========================
Jumia also offers buyers the ability to pay for goods after delivery. This option is mostly available to certain locations or postcodes.
Bank transfer options
======================
One can also make payment to Jumia's bank current account in banks like Access, GTBank and Zenith on behalf of Vamido Global Resources Limited. When using this option, one has to pay within 2 days else order would be cancelled
Target locations
====================
Although they do service a whole lot of other states in Nigeria, states like Lagos and Abuja seem to be the most preferred ones as they are more delivery and discount deals there.
Payment options
====================
1. Cash on delivery
2. Cards: Interswitch, Verve and Mastercard
3. Bank transfer
I guess most Nigerians would go for the cash on delivery option when its available.
