I've recently started noticing that most Nigerian companies no longer advertise with Google adwords as they used to in the past as I have started seeing less and less adverts on several Nigerian websites using adsense and more of those adverts on sites already using Ad:Dynamo.
It seems that more Nigerian companies are switching to Ad:Dynamo perhaps due to its relative newnwess, less advertising costs and probably local promotion strategy.
Ad:Dynamo may not yet have a very large display network like Google does but it is really growing its base on online advertisers, even from Nigeria where Adwords already has its base.
Ad:Dynamo is a competitor to Adwords in Nigeria and seems to be a fast growing one with its aggressive alternative cheaper form of online advertising. For publishers on the Ad:Dynamo platform, we've not yet really started seeing such increasing number of advertisers translating to more income.
What made me ask the question or raise the assumption is due to the fact that I see almost the same Google adverts over and over again showing that advertisers are backing down while at the same time I've seen several different adverts getting displayed on the AD:Dynamo network.
Apart from Ad:Dynamo, another competing advertising network I've seen Nigerian ads get displayed is on Bidvertiser, a per per click network that even rewards publishers for bringing in customers - Something I'm hoping Ad:Dynamo should introduce soon enough.
