Why I love my 7 inch Kindle Fire HD

Ever since I got my Kindle Fire HD, I have never regretted it or even wished to have an Ipad in its place. Kindle Fire works for me just fine and at a good price too.

There is a lot one can do with the Kindle Fire HD as it does much more than the previous reader versions. KFHD can play music, play streaming and stored videos, play games, display pictures, browse the web, read books and so on.

The Kindle Fire HD is basically an entertainment device and that's why I really like it. I'm not a fan of reading books or magazines but when it comes to watching movies, streaming videos, browsing the web and playing music and games, I'm all for that. There are also a lot of cool apps to choose from from the Android store which you can install on Kindle. Apart from the few apps it comes with, there are a lot of of other apps you can include to your KFHD if you want more functionality.

Portability:

We used to say that laptops were portable. Well you ain't seen portability until you get to use a classy tablet like the Kindle FHD.
Talk about being able to use your computer while you are lying down on the bed or couch. It doesn't weight too much as it's fitted for the palm of your hands.

Laptops can be heavy to carry by hand that's why you need a bag to carry it around but a Kindle can easily be moved around just as if you were carrying a folder.

The HD experience:

Kindle Fire HD is not just built for reading books like the old kindle versions. It has a HD 1280x800 display screen that is built for entertainment. Watching movie trailers alone would show you how powerful this device is. You can use it to watch streaming movies from Youtube, movie trailers, watch full length movies, play hd games and watch music videos. The audio sound is superb and even stronger and has more clarity than most laptops I know. Kindle Fire was built for entertainment and another good thing is that you can connect it to a hd output like your tv.

Dual audio output:

It comes with 2 stereo output by the sides which combines with the smart video display to give a cinema like experience. The audio is pretty sharp.

The price
============
For $199, the 7 inch Kindle Fire HD comes at a good price and rumour has it that Amazon is probably selling it at the cost price and rather looking to make profit from content market.

WiFi:
========
It has two WiFi antennas to for sharp detection of Wireless connections which allows for quicker video streaming. There is not need to plug in any usb or ethernet cable to the KFD as you can browse the web much faster with better signals. This works well for my MTN Hynet device.

Handling Computer files
========================
You can open and view a lot of files with your Kindle such as MS word, pdf, spreadsheet, jpegs and so on. I'm not yet into reading or storing computer files on Kindle.

Fantastic reading experience:

Whether you are reading books or reading through a web page, the display on Kindle Fire HD is really sharp and even better than my computer. You no longer have to lean forward to read a line of text as you can also zoom by using your fingers on the touchscreen. Eye strain is minimized as you can read for longer periods satisfactorily. Well, I uploaded one of my pdf ebooks to Kindle and it looks really sharp in color and font.
When it comes to reading on computer-like devices like my phone, laptop, desktop and the Kindle, I would say that Kindle offers the best display for your eyes.

Screen lock:

Kindle Fire HD also comes with a security screen lock function which I recently noticed. You can activate it by going to security. This would help prevent others from using your Kindle without your permission as you can lock it with a 4 digit PIN.

Longer battery life
===================
Imagine being able to use a laptop or a netbook for much longer hours without having to stay connected to power? Well, you can do that with the Kindle Fire HD as it's small size, power efficiency makes it stay on for much longer hours unlike your laptop. You can always recharge the battery with a micro USB cable or the fast charger.

Accessories
==================
There are a lot of accessories available for your Kindle that would allow you to better enjoy using it. Some of these include:

- Leather Case with Stand: Case for your device to help protect it from shock and for easy carrying. Also helps to stand your device.

- Kindle PowerFast for Accelerated Charging: Charging with a USB cable is not as fast as charging with this tool. I guess you can also charge it with a micro-usb blackberry charger.

- Earpiece: The external sound is great but this device also has a earpiece port that allows you to listen to it quietly without bothering others. You would just have to reduce the sound to protect your ears.
