How I bought a Nike Zoom Hyperdisruptor Basketball shoe from Amazon

As someone who is used to shopping at Amazon.com from Nigeria, someone requested that I help him buy a Nike basketball shoe - Nike Zoom Hyperdisruptor. At that time, the price was listed by Amazon at $130 excluding shipping costs to Nigeria but I wasn't expecting Amazon to actually ship it to Nigeria since I was going to use my US warehousing service for the final shipping.

Having a US address allows you to get a lot of benefits such as free shipping within the states as well as access to a wide variety of products and services you ordinarily would not get if your use a Nigerian shipping address.

I wasn't used to buying sport shoes at Amazon since I was into computer accessories and parts but one of the things I first checked was the Nigerian custom website to refresh my mind with their list of prohibited items. Luckily, basketball shoes were not banned and so it would probably be a smooth sail to Nigeria.

Ordering at Amazon is quite easy and the things you basically need are your Nigeria issued USD card and a US shipping address. Since I already have one from Zenith bank and even some balance in my gift card, it waa easy to order.

I ordered for the item using my gift card balance and it was shipped within a few days to my US address. I then got a notification when I received it and initiated the final shipping to Nigeria along with a a couple of other items I wanted to ship - Bulk shipping.

When I initiated the final shipping to Nigeria, my Visa card was then charged for the shipping costs which was based on weight and size of the entire package. One could always estimate shipping costs before requesting for shipping with your US shipping account.

It took only about 5 working days and I got the item in Nigeria after tracking it online. Once the dhl website says it's out for delivery, expect to receive it that same day.
