How to subscribe to MTN Mobile TV

To start watching tv on your mobile phone in Nigeria, you would need to subscribe to your service provider if they offer that service.

MTN Nigeria has a new exciting entertaining service called MTN Mobile tv. It allows subscribers to be able to watch live tv on their mobile phones wherever they are without having to have a high end mobile phone.

In the older days, the only talk about mobile tv was the dstv mobile service which works on fewer mobile phones that have dvb-h technology. However, with this new Mobile tv service from MTN, more mobile phones in Nigeria would be able to stream live tv on their phone by using MTN fast mobile internet service.

Things needed to subscribe to Mobile TV
- A mobile phone with internet capability(I think 3G)
- At least N350 airtime credit

How to subscribe to MTN Mobile TV
- Open your phone browser and go to http://mobiletv.mtnonline.com
- Select a basic or premium package
- Choose a weekly or monthly plan
- Select your channels
- Make payment with your mobile phone
- Start watching Live tv by choosing a channel at http://mobiletv.mtnonline.com

It is that easy.

I have just subscribed to their basic plan on my Nokia E52 and the speed is quite fast. It is a bit different from the dstv mobile service and I'm loving it.
