How to buy and download Kindle ebooks in Nigeria

When it comes to buying stuff on the Amazon kindle store, I prefer buying them first with my laptop and then download them later to my Kindle anytime and from anywhere I am. You could buy Kindle ebooks either on your laptop or Kindle fire as long as you have an internet connection.

Downloading digital things like apps, mp3s, videos and ebooks on the Kindle store can be a challenge most especially when buying stuff that are not free. However, it is much easier to buy ebooks than other stuff like videos or mp3s.

Here is how I buy ebooks on the Kindle store using my laptop/Kindle

Buying free ebooks

I decided to buy a free ebook on the Kindle store titled Balance(The Divine, Book one).
It was a book containing around 442 pages and was currently free on the store. The first button I saw said "Buy now with 1-click" and I clicked it.

The order was successful when using my laptop and even without using a US address or US ip address.

So I tried to buy another book that ws not free

Buying paid Kindle ebooks

I decided to go for another ebook costing $0.99 to try to see if that works easily too and clicked to buy using 1-click. It was titled Clinically Dead - I've seen Heaven and Hell' by Jenny Sharkey.

I was then taken to a page to enter my payment details.
I selected my Nigeria visa card details which was already in my account and clicked on the "Place order" button. The order was successful.

The 1-click settings I used contained my US address and a Nigerian Visa card. I didn't also need to change my ip.

Accessing my digital purchases
================
One thing about buying digital stuff on Amazon is that once you've bought them, you can always access them from anywhere you are in the world as long as there is internet access.

So, all my Kindle possessions, including these ebooks would now be stored in my cloud account and I can always retrieve or download them to my Kindle anywhere and anytime I want.

One could also choose to start reading the ebook using a Kindle cloud reader using your laptop/desktop browser.
