Cannot process order for Kindle Games

I decided to buy a game today from the Kindle game store and got the error

Cannot process order

We could not process your order because of geographical restrictions on the product which you were attempting to purchase. Please refer to the terms of use for this product to determine the geographical restrictions.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you

This happened when I clicked the 1-click settings from my laptop to purchase the Tetris Blitz game which was prices at $0.00(free)

I also tried buying it from my Kindle by going to games > Store > Tetris Blitz (Free) and got the error.

Please check that your billing address and payment method are from a supported country. I guess that's because my Kindle payment settings was using a Nigerian card.

How I finally bought the free Kindle game

I connect with my laptop and connected to my US VPN service. Changed my ip to a US location.

Also updated my payment settings with a US prepaid Visa card I already had.

Tried to buy the app again and it worked. I got a confirmation that I know owned the game.

I then proceeded to Kindle > Games > Cloud and downloaded it to my device.

If you are in Nigeria and using a Kindle Fire HD, I'm sure you may have some hitches when trying to get digital content. This is just a blog post sharing my experience with using the Kindle.
