I just received my first payment as a Bluehost Affiliate in Nigeria and this was a $130 Paypal payment made to my account. It is not much but probably enough for paying for my web hosting fees.
I received the notice in an email and then confirmed by logging into my verified Paypal account. The money is there for sure.
For those seeking to make money online in Nigeria, partnering as an affiliate top web hosting merchants like Bluehost is a sure way to make money as they pay a whooping $65 per referral which you bring. However you need to have content that is related to web hosting or at least be getting webmasters or website owners who are the ones most likely to serve as the customer base for your product.
Earning and getting paid as a Bluehost affiliate in Nigeria doesn't come easy because first you have to have a website that gets traffic, then make referrals who actually buy a hosting plan and then wait for that customer to remain a customer with Bluehost for at least 90 days.
Once your earnings are locked in, your account will them be merited for getting paid using Paypal or check. Well, personally, since I don't trust snail mail cheques getting through Nigeria's postal system, I chose to be paid using Paypal and this is the first time I'm getting paid.
Paypal is one of the fastest ways of getting paid online as it's even faster than Google's dhl cheques which also takes time to clear at the banks. It can however be hard in getting one's money from Paypal while in Nigeria since one may have to go through third parties to make a withdrawal or use it for shopping on ebay.
Payoneer is one of the top partners which allows Nigerian Paypal users to make withdrawals from Paypal as they do offer a US payment service for withdrawals after which card holders cna then withdraw directly from ATMs in Naira. Well, personally I prefer using it for shopping at ebay.
Bluehost sent me a payment of $130 in total for 2 confirmed referrals although I still have other referrals that are yet to be credited.
I noticed an increase in affiliate link clicks as a result of a niche site I developed on web hosting as well as using Bluehost banners on my sites. I guess more exposure for your affiliate banners ultimately brings more clicks and conversions.
My other top paying affiliate program is the Amazon associates' but the traffic hardly comes from this blog or from Nigerian visitors but from an article publishing site called Hubpages. Amazon pays by foreign check and gift cards for Nigerian affiliates but I do prefer gift cards as my payment option.
Want to make money with Bluehost? It's simple. Just make sure you have a website and then sign up as an affiliate for free.

You need a US Paypal account to receive Paypal payments in Nigeria. Based on what I know, you also need a US ip address if you want to operate such a foreign Paypal account from Nigeria.
