If you are a blogger in Nigeria, I would like to know what kind of computers you make use of. When I say computers, I mean whether it's a desktop or laptop, personal or public as well as the brand e.g. Apple, HP, Compaq or clone.
Personally I started with a clone desktop computer(running on Windows 98) and later switched to Toshiba laptops(Win XP) due to inefficient power supply. You know it's much easier to use a laptop in Nigeria than desktop if you are relying on the PHCN. These days, I rarely use my UPS except for powering my a/c adaptor powered internet modem I also make use of 4 laptop batteries which allow me to use a laptop for more than 4 hrs straight.
Anyway, these days, I tend to miss the speed at which my Compaq desktop used to operate. It is much faster than my current laptop and so at times, I'm tempted to switch back to using desktops. Laptops are good for blogging especially if one is blogging in Nigeria and don't want to be slowed down by inefficient power supply.
One thing I've also noticed is that laptops tend to slow down after a long time of usage and I guess it has to do with the growing number of files on your system as well as inefficient cooling. Laptops are good but I don't think they are meant to be used for prolonged time periods unlike desktops.
If you are a blogger, what kind of computer system do you use and why?
