Believe me, Amazon is a great place to buy things online even if you were living in Nigeria but it is not always advisable to buy all the things you want from Amazon if you are in Nigeria.
Here are some of them:
1. Things that are cheaper in Nigeria: No need buying things on Amazon when you can buy the same brand or model in Nigeria. Take an example of a laptop like Toshiba Satellite A105. If you can find the same model in Nigeria for cheaper and it comes with the same specs and similar features, it's better to just buy them in Nigeria if the total cost of getting it is cheaper.
2. Things that are prohibited by the Nigerian custom service: Just because guns and certain chemicals are sold on Amazon doesn't mean that you should buy them if you are in Nigeria. It is not everything that is sold on Amazon that are allowed in Nigeria by the customs. You should take a look at items on that prohibited list at the Nigerian custom website.
3. Things that you need immediately: It takes about 5 working days to get items shipped very fast to Nigeria using a courier service. If you need it today or tomorrow, you should just go to the local market and pick it up if it is available since it would save you time.
