My 3rd payment from Amazon affiliate program

Amazon's affiliate program is one of the ways I make money online in Nigeria and I just received an email from Amazon with a gift card payment in my inbox.

As I mentioned earlier in one of my posts about the Amazon associate program, one of the ways through which they pay Nigerian affiliates or markets is by means of gift cards. Other means of payment include direct bank deposit or foreign cheque. Since those other methods would rather take me a longer time and since I prefer shopping on Amazon.com, the gift car works fine for me.

Well, this payment is a bit higher compared to my last ones and it's a sort of motivation for me to keep including their affiliate links in my sites. I'm not much into affiliate marketing but with the little I've been involved with, Amazon ranks number 2 for now after Bluehost which has remained my top paying affiliate network.

I don't make much from Affiliate programs like I do from internet publishing but it's nice to see that you ge to earn some rewards for driving traffic to a great site like Amazon.

My last payment was at around $12 but now I'm getting paid over $70. Who knows how much I'd earn next?

What can I use gift cards for? Well, I've got a Kindle with which I can buy digital content like music and mp3s, I could also buy an Android tab or mobile phone from the Amazon store and ship to Nigeria either for resale or use.

As for payment options available to someone in Nigeria being an affiliate with Amazon, well, I could have also chosen the US bank option and linked my Payoneer US bank account. I actually did that but later changed it back to Gift cards. Amazon doesn't pay affiliates with Paypal and that's kind of why I also love working with them. For me, gift card remains the best option because it is the fastest way of getting paid by Amazon.
