Nigerian female blogger builds a new home for parents

She is regarded as the most popular blogger in Nigeria and she is also making a full time income from blogging.

Blogging is a growing industry in Nigeria but there are not many bloggers who are making a full time income from it yet compared to the number of blogs available on the web. However, Linda Ikeji is one of the few blessed ones that have been able to monetize it very well.

According to a recent report she just posted on her blog, entertainment blogger, Linda Ikeji has just revealed that she has been able to build a 5 bedroom duplex in he home town in Imo state. This is aside the fact that she had already moved her parents to a duplex in Lagos where they reside for most parts of the year. The duplex she built was in partnership with her father who helped supervised the work and may have also had some experience with construction work. I guess that's one of the benefits of working with your parents or close relations. Who knows how much more it could have cost Linda if she contracted the work out to a stranger.

She revealed that she was able to build the country home with the income solely generated from her blog. Well, this is quite believeable to most Nigerians who already know her blog and reputation. She is one of the few Nigerians who make millions from full time blogging alone.

She doesn't really make money from third party advertising or networks like Google adsense as most Nigerian bloggers are used to but the bulk of her income comes from direct advertising fees paid by local businesses related to fashion, telecommunication, Autos and Entertainment.

The house just arrived in time for Christmas and I'd say, well done Linda!
