Shoprite Nigeria is one of the largest retail shopping malls in the country and has a lot of customers too. When it comes to making payments during checkout, there are various forms of payments accepted at the tellers and this includes cash, cards as well as their gift vouchers.
I recently bought a Shoprite gift voucher by taking advantage of an offer at Dealdey.com - one of the top shopping websites in Nigeria. The thing about Dealdey is that they are able to offer one of the best prices in the country as a result of group buying offers.
Since I was already a member of Dealdey.com, I took advantage of the offer and bought Shoprite gift vouchers worth N2000 at N1000. Now that is a good offer given that I'm getting it at 50% of actual price and hence getting an additional N1000 for free.
For people who like to Shop at Shoprite, getting a discount of your shopping cost is always a smart thing to do since it saves you money by rewarding you for your purchases.
Anyway to cut the long story short, I got the Shoprite gift vouchers which were 2 in number and each was priced at N1000. It has a Shoprite logo on it, the worth in naira also printed as well as a bar code printed on it together with unique serial numbers. I recently used them to shop at Shoprite and it was a good experience.
All you basically need to do when shopping with their gift vouchers is to present it when checking out at the teller and not have to pay with cash or your card.
What to do
==========
- Go to Shoprite's shopping mall with your gift vouchers
- Start shopping for items and adding them to your cart
- Proceed to the checkout tellers when you are through
- Allow the cashier to calculate your costs and bill you
- Present your gift vouchers as payment and settle with cash or card if the cost are not covered by your vouchers
- Collect your receipt
It is that easy.
Shopping at shoprite with gift vouchers is more of a relief than having to pay cash or debiting your bank account and if you can also get it at a discount, then I think you should take advantage of it. For people who may at times feel a bit of buyer's remorse after doing their shopping, gift vouchers can help relief that feeling too.
I'm not sure if Shoprite vouchers are already publicly available and if they would be sold at the Shoprite store. If they do eventually get to the market, I'm suspecting they may also be sold at a good discount perhaps to high target buyers.
