How to download and install apps on your Kindle tablet in Nigeria

If you are in Nigeria and are using an Amazon Kindle tablet, you can still access the apps market if you get some things right.

Two ways through which you can do this:
- Through the Amazon Kindle apps platform
- Through third party Android websites

Things needed

- Internet service
- VPN for Android
- Amazon account
- Kindle tablet

Downloading and installing apps from the Amazon apps store

- Ensure you are connected to the internet
- Go to apps from your Kindle
- Go to the store
- Browse or search for the apps that you want
- Select and install
- Open the app when you are through

Downloading and installing apps from third party websites

- Ensure your Kindle is already connected to the internet
- Go to your Kindle settings and allow installation from third party sites
- Open your Silk browser by going to web
- Proceed to the Android apps website e.g. apps.opera.com
- Select the apps you want and download
- Open it to install

Overcoming geographical restrictions

If you re experiencing restrictions when trying to access the Amazon appstore on your Kindle you can simply overcome this by installing a US VPN app and also adding a US credit card and address to your Amazon account. You can get Hotpot Shield VPN on your Kindle from the Opera appstore. It works to change your IP to a US IP when you are connected to the web. Once you are connected to the internet, you should just also connect to the VPN service from your Kindle and you are good to go.

Purchasing apps from the Kindle store in Nigeria
If you also want to purchase apps from the Kindle store, you can do this as long as you have a US credit card on file with some funds in it. If you don't have funds, you can buy gift card with your Naira Visa or Mastercard and add it to your account.
