Since I joined Konga's affiliate program as a marketer, one of the things I've always wanted to know was the best performing channel on my campaigns.

Since I had a lot of visitors using either mobile and desktop browsers, I decided to divide the 2 sources of traffic by creating 2 channels naming one Desktop and the other mobile. I did that by first of all creating a channel from my Konga affiliate control panel and then appending that channel to my website's mobile and desktop template. This then helped me know how both channels were performing.

Which channel earns more income for me? Well, I have to say that for now, desktop channels earn more but not too more than my mobile referrals. In terms of traffic however, my mobile channels get more traffic to my affiliate links than my desktop channel.

Here is a breakdown of my report:
Traffic
========
Desktop: X
Mobile: 3X

Income
=========
Desktop: X
Mobile: 0.75X

Type of ads used
=========
I didn't use exactly the same ad formats for the 2 channels since they were different. I used a combination of banners and text links for my desktop template while I used only text links for my mobile website.

Comparing Konga affiliate program to Google Adsense

Is my Konga affiliate income good enough to replace my income from Google adsense? Well, not yet but it's growing and may replace it in the future. For now, Konga's text links perform better on my mobile platform than my adsense for mobile ads but their overall income compared to my Google adsense income is approximately in a ratio: 1:5.

Thinking of the best way to mobilize your mobile visitors in Nigeria? I recommend using Konga text links on your mobile website.
