One of the ways through which Nigerian can make money passively on the internet is by being publishers on Amazon's Kindle direct publishing program.

The Amazon KDP allows people who have writing skills to make money by simply writing books and publishing them as digital books on the kindle store. It is like selling your e-book on autopilot through Amazon without having to bother yourself about sales or marketing it. Just writing and publishing books like short stories or novels can really make you millions of Naira if you are good at it and people love your writings.

I've been an Amazon Kindle publisher for over 2 years now and although I'm not yet making millions from it, my sales are beginning to improve but I'm still yet to write a book that will become a best seller.

When it comes to the issue of making money online in Nigeria, one of the problems most Nigerians normally have is the ability to get paid from it. Most US based websites tend to make use of Clickbank or Paypal as a means of getting paid and this mostly requires having a US bank or paypal account which is still a far reach for Nigerians, with a Payoneer account, this is becoming possible.

A Payoneer account gives you access to a globally accepted Mastercard that allows you to also have a US bank account to receive your online payments and be able to withdraw it from a local ATM in Nigeria.

For now, the Amazon KDP doesn't offer direct payments to Nigerians like Google Adsense does but they do allow Nigerian residents to get into their program as long as they

How Amazon makes payment to KDP members
============
Amazon does offer direct payments to bank accounts or through cheques to Kindle publishers in select countries across the world but this excludes Nigeria for now. They offer payments out to publishers to countries like the USA and if you arei n Nigeria, you can receive payment if you do have a US bank account. You can open a US bank account by visiting the USA or by applying for a US virtual bank account through Payoneer.

How to set up your KDP payment using your Payoneer account
===============================
- Go to your Payoneer account and log in
- Go to view your US Payment service profile
- Copy the bank details there
- Now, Go to Amazon KDP website
- Log into your account
- Go to your account
- Select to add or edit bank account
- Select your bank location as the USA
- Enter your account name in the same way it is show in your Payoneer account
- Copy the account number
- Copy the routing number
- Enter the bank name
- Click on the "Done" button
- Click the Save button to save your edited account information

Now, when your earnings accumulate toe the minimum level, Amazon will send a payment to your bank account and you can withdraw it in Nigeria if you want to. Some charges will apply.

You don't need a US phone number or address to get a Payoneer mastercard. Just use your Nigerian details and register.

I've bought books on Amazon kindle from Nigeria. So i believe it is available in Nigeria. If you are writing a book to publish on Amazon, I would however advise that you write it in a way it will be for the whole world and not just Nigeria so you may generate more sales.
