Is there an eBay shopping website in Nigeria? Well, currently there isn't but there are a growing number of local online shopping websites here and some of them are modeled after the eBay model.
Well, some Nigerian websites allow you to buy used items for cheap while some even allow you to order for things you like on eBay US website through them and just pay them in Naira. There are even some that allow you to shop on eBay and ship to their US address and afterwards offer you an international shipping service to Nigeria.
A cool way to shop on eBay US website is by doing it yourself, shipping to your US address and then deciding on how and when to ship it to Nigeria using a shipping service of your choice.
To shop on eBay.com, one of the basic things one would need is an eBay account and for that, you'd need to register with a US address. Also, in order not to have your account limited because of your geographical location, if you are outside an eBay supported country like in Nigeria, you'd also need to have a US IP address and you can simply get that by subscribing to a
US VPN service. Another important thing you need to buy directly from eBay is a Paypal account. If you don't have most of these things, then it's best you just sign up for a
Personal shopping service provider. A personal shopping service provider is an person that can help you buy things online on any website of your choice.
I've bought a lot of things on eBay since I have a Paypal account and an eBay account and I make use of a US shipping address for doing my online shopping. This allows me to receive delivery of any item I purchase on eBay a a US address and then decide to ship it internationally if I want to and that includes shipping to countries like Nigeria where eBay is not working yet.
One of the good things about eBay is that they tend to offer some of the best prices. You could see a laptop worth $1000 being sold for just $300 or less.
So to shop on eBay and get you item shipped to Nigeria, you can't do that directly for now. You will have to either have a Paypal account, a US address and US IP or just pay a Personal shopper to do it for you. A personal shopper would just charge you a flat commission for the service.
