I recently wrote about how I got sent a Paypal echeck by a US company as part payment for my affiliate earnings. They had initially informed me that they sent a US bank cheque by postal mail but since I don' trust that form of payment as a result of some bad experience I once had with Chitika as well as the fact that I complained to them that I had not received it after 2 weeks, they had to resend the payment but this time by means of Paypal. Yes, I requested specially to them to make payment to me by means of Paypal in favour of a US Paypal account I have and can withdraw from thanks to Payoneer's mastercard. They had sent an eCheck of $750 and I was notified of it by email and it also showed up in Paypal transaction details as a pending payment in progress.

When the Paypal eCheck was sent, I got a notification by email from Paypal with the title eCheck payment in progress and on the 4th working day after that message, I got another email that the cheque had been cleared - It read "Notification of a cleared eCheck payment". WHat that means is that the money is now in my Paypal account and can no longer be cancelled by the sender and that I can now use the Paypal funds to either shop online on sites like eBay or Miniinthebox or just make a withdrawal to a US bank. I think I'm going to rather withdraw through my payoneer Mastercard but I'd like to first know what exchange rate they are going to use for me.

After receiving the Paypal email that my echeck has been credited to my account, the next step was to check my Paypal US account to confirm the credit. I noticed that I had been credited with $727 instead of the $750 sent by eCheck. I guess that confirms that receiver normally pays the fee for receiving a Paypal cheque and so about $23(about 3%) was deducted from the payment I received.

Since I had decided to withdraw it in cash, I tried logging into my Payoneer account to confirm my US banking details and rechecked that there were the same with what was listed in my Paypal account. I then made a request to transfer funds to my bank account from Paypal. I read it normally takes about 5 working days and I'm ok with that.

I tried withdrawing $700 from my US Paypal account but was notified that I had exceeded my monthly withdrawal limit of $500. I then remembered that my US credit card with them had expired and I needed to add another card just to lift the limits. Well, I just settled on withdrawing just $500 for the mean time. I was told it's going to take about 3 to 5 working days for it to be completed. I also got an email notification from Paypal that there were transferring money to my US bank account.
