One of the things most Nigerians who like the idea of buying things online at Amazon would like to know is if their bank issued Naira Mastercard or Visa card will work on US shopping websites like Amazon? Given that most items listed on the Amazon shopping website is in US dollars and it's normally not usual for a Nigerian resident to shop on US websites, it can be hard understanding if Naira cards would work on Amazon.

This was one of the things I pondered about before my first shopping experience on Amazon and so I first started using a USD Visa card for my transactions. I later tried using different Naira cards on several occasions and some of them worked.

Is there a better way to simply find out if your Naira card is enabled for making payments at Amazon? Well there is:

Try Buying A gift card

The Easiest way to know if your Naira card would be accepted on Amazon is to simply buy an Amazon email gift card. You can decide buying a $10 gift card or more and send it to your email address to see it will be processed. If the transaction is successful and your Naira card is accepted, then you will be receive the gift card in your email box.

One good thing about buying an Amazon.com gift card is the funds never expire and so you are no really losing money. Besides, it's one of the easiest things to buy online at Amazon and this is normally used to offset your balance on the Amazon shopping website.
